Home Cooking? Yes, Please!

It is common knowledge that home cooking is healthier than eating out. Cooking at home makes it easier to choose healthy ingredients to prepare a balanced nutrient rich meal. While eating out may be more convenient and fun, there still is a huge downside. Did you know that the average restaurant meal includes between 800-1,500 calories? Well yes it does and in most cases that only includes the main course. It doesn't stop here, a study showed that eating out frequently is associated with an increased risk of obesity and obesity-related diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. This is due to the fact that calories in those meals come from sugar, sodium, and unsaturated fats. Bottom line, cooking your own healthy meal is clearly the best way to lose weight, maintain your health, and ensuring you get proper nutrition.

Saturdays in Noho

Weekends in NYC are always fabulous. One of my favorite things to do on a Saturday is to walk from Washington Square Park all the way to Soho.  NYC was currently nominated the shopping capital of the world and shopping in Soho is arguably one of the best spots in the city.
Ill Bucco Alimentari e Vineria brings the feel of classic Italian markets that aims to produce delicious food from the best ingredients available in the market. A gorgeous restaurant with a unique atmosphere. One of my top choices for lunch on Saturdays.
